We recommend a minimum age of 18 but this is a guideline. If parental / guardian permission is given we will take from 16.
We accept students from all over the world. It is important however that you have a good understanding of English to fully benefit from the classes.
We do not have accommodating facilities for International students. Our location map shows where we are in London and a link with the Transport for London website will allow you to plan your travel route.
Thereafter you can seek accommodation using the internet. We will try to help as much as we can on individual cases advising where previous students were very happy to stay.
No previous experience or qualifications are needed for our Fashion & Beauty Make-up or Hair Styling courses, only the ambition to be a successful hair & make-up artist. We teach you all you need to learn to enter the industry with all the skillsof an advanced level professional.
You will be able to work in the dynamic areas of high fashion and catwalk, photoshoots for magazines, advertising campaigns, catalogues etc, television and film including special effects, music, celebrity make-up, weddings and personal make-up artistry are areas that are open to you on graduation. We do not cover highly specialized areas of bodypainting and prosthetics which is an advanced stage of special effects.
In the make-up industry there are no real ‘qualifications’ as such. Your portfolio, show reel and website represents you and demonstrates your experience and skill. This, and your professional manner and reputation is what gets you work. We explore indepth how you will start your portfolio and develop it to your best advantage. On satisfactory completion and attendance over 90%, you will receive a certificate of graduation and hair trained students are admitted into our agency.
We work with each student on an individual basis and thoroughly explain and structure test shoots that you will take part in to build your portfolio. This includes on set etiquette and conduct, and most importantly the images you intend to start your portfolio off with and how to constantly improve them. We pass on all work that comes into our agency to suitable graduates for that job in particular. Fashion & TV students have a photoshoot as part of their course.
We are always in touch with graduated students for as long as is natural to your career. We like to say we make friends with our students too so are always happy to help even after several years.
As long as there are places available we will continue to take students onto courses.
It all depends on the clients request. We have in the past.
We have no other branches elsewhere at this time. We do however teach students from international visiting schools abroad including the USA and Japan on a regular basis.
IWe have created a unique situation that stands in line with our thorough training programme. We believe a kit is unique to the individual artist and, to an extent, encourage you to buy the brands you like, guided by our kit list (see below enrolment form). This list explains all the items you will be using and where to buy them, including the professional discount we have arranged for you.
It is also not in a student’s advantage from a tax point of view to pay for a kit within course fees. This is explained fully on the course. As for your training - the most important part - you will be shown how to use your kit inside out so that before the course ends, you are using your kit so confidently the only thing that you are left to focus on is the job in hand when you graduate - not about being unfamiliar with your products and how they perform!
We stay in touch with all our graduates and are always on hand for support and advicecovering all areas of their careers.
Go to the course enrolment page and complete the form and press submit. Below the SUBMIT button you will see our bank details for you to transfer your fee. We can then process your registration on receipt of your deposit/ full fee.
